About Simply Seeds and Plants

Simply Seeds and Plants began when Richard Massey (below, click to enlarge), for nearly 15 years the guiding light at Unwins Seeds and Marshalls Seeds, joined nurseryman Geoff Freeman at Orchard Nurseries in the quiet Norfolk village of Terrington St John. This partnership brought together decades of both experience in ensuring that mail order RichardSweetPeas700Rotate customers received thebest possible service and expertise in growing the best possible plants.

At first, the new venture focused on sweet pea plants (Simply Seeds and Plants now grows over 30 million each year!) to help gardeners over the tricky seed germination phase. Sweet pea plants grown by Simply Seeds and Plants are sold in garden centres all over the country.

Soon after, fuchsias and then chrysanthemums were added to the range followed by patio plants and a choice selection of vegetable plants to give gardeners a quick start to their home grown food. The range now also includes some exciting premium perennials and almost all the plants offered are still grown on the Norfolk nursery. Not printing catalogues, and operating only online, helps Simply Seeds and Plants give gardeners the best possible value.

New, interesting, and pest and disease resistant varieties feature strongly and the choice of varieties is guided by Richard and Geoff’s long experience and horticultural insight. And, of course, the focus is always on ensuring that customers receive the best possible service and the best possible plants.
